First released on January 3, 1957, the Ventura was the world's first battery-powered watch, and it remains one of the most popular watch styles even after 65+ years. White Venturas are quite rare as less of them were made in comparison to the yellow gold version. This asymmetric is powered by a genuine Hamilton electric 505 movement with a fresh battery installed. The 14K white gold case looks great with only minor scratches and the lugs appear to have no wear. The original dial consists of 14K Rhodium plated markers and 6 diamonds accompanied by Dauphine style hands and a red tipped sweep second hand that are true to form. The crown is also original to the watch and is signed with the Hamilton “H”. This Ventura case was manufactured by S&W and reads: Hamilton W. Co., Lancaster PA, 14K Gold, S610585, S&W. The case measures approximately 31mm wide (excluding the crown) x 45mm from lug end to lug end.
