Featured here is a highly sought after single year production Hamilton Accumatic A-504 known as the "Regulus Automatic" in a stainless steel case showcasing a sterling silver dial with steel luminous baton style hands. This asymmetrical timepiece measures approximately 30mm wide x 39mm in overall length. It is known that the leftover case stock was re-used after the electronic Regulus was retired and then fitted with the mechanical A-504 movement. Hamilton soldered the back onto the case which then made this watch a "front loader" with a removable crystal. Very few of these watches were produced and this one works well, sets and winds smoothly. Beneath the dial is an unadjusted Swiss Hamilton 689A automatic movement with 17 jewels that has been serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour test period. The inside back case reads: Hamilton W. Co., Lancaster PA., Stainless Steel, P135114, Star W.C. Co.
