Circa 1968-1973.
It's not often that you find a Hamilton Fontainebleau in this good of condition. Most of the time they are pretty beat up with scratched bezels and extremely scratched up backs due to people not opening the watch correctly. All that is needed is a 90 degree turn to release the securing ring that holds the stainless steel back to the gold electroplated base metal bezel. This particular Hamilton is named the Fontainebleau "B" following the original Fontainebleau that was shaped more like a medicine pill. The sterling silver dial is in pristine condition with gold-toned markers and baton hands in tip top condition. The gold electroplated bezel is free of nicks and scratches and has a nice brush metal finish to it. The back case has some relatively light scratches but is in otherwise fabulous condition. This watch is quadruple signed by Hamilton as seen on the dial, case, movement, and crown. Brand new dark brown alligator calf straps in size 19mm are included with this timepiece. Powering this watch is a Hamilton Swiss nadjusted 694A caliber automatic movement with 17 jewels that runs strong and kept great time over a 24 hour period. The watch sets and winds smoothly and measures approximately 37mm wide x 37mm from lug end to lug end.
