Circa 1961-1962.
Produced for only 2 years is this vintage Hamilton Stormking VII in a NOS (new old stock) 10K yellow gold-filled case which also includes the Hamilton signed domed crown and original crystal. The special Jones Motor Co. dial features yellow embossed numerals and markers with a pearled track. Powering this watch is a genuine Hamilton grade 736 manual hand winding movement with 18 jewels that has been recently serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour period. Winding is slightly stiff due to the stem tube and crown being unused but with time and usage it will eventually become smoother. The watch measurements are approximately 33mm wide x 39mm from lug end to lug end. The inside case reads: Hamilton W. Co., 10K Goldfilled, R045513, Star W.C. Co. The case back has a radial brushed finish engraved with Hamilton 10K Goldfilled 85320 with the same serial number stamped on the hang tag. The Jones Motor Company traces its roots to 1894 and began operations with a single horse and wagon. The company was founded by John Jones, and was originally known as Jones Drayage Company. Jones Motor is widely regarded as the oldest motor carrier in the United States.
