Here we have a vintage Hamilton Navy R88-W-800 27023 WWII Military wristwatch in a base metal case featuring a matte black luminous dial and skeleton hands. The Hamilton name is also finished in black on the dial and there is an "H" inbetween the lugs. The case surprisingly shows only mild signs of scratches and wear considering it's age and history. Powering the watch is a 6/0 size grade 987A manual hand winding movement with 17 jewels that has been serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour period. Case measurements are approximately 26mm wide x 33mm from top to bottom. The inside back case reads: Hamilton, Keystone, Base Metal, 227520. The outer screw back case reads: R88-W-800, MFR's Part No 27023, Hamilton Watch Co., K-H-3.
