Presented here is an art-deco inspired Hamilton Roland in a 14K yellow gold case with 18K gold numerals, marker and squares on a refinished two-tone sterling silver dial. Unlike its predecessor with the same name, this 50s version of the Roland is not often seen available and is made of 14K solid gold. The bezel is distinguishable by the sloped mustache design with pinched center points accompanied by a simplistic two-tone dial that is absent of a minute track but instead has a symmetrical pattern that flares out at the 12, 3, 6, and 9. The Dauphine style hands are true to form and the watch sets and winds smoothly as well. This case measures approximately 25mm wide (excluding the crown) x 34mm from lug end to lug end. Powering this timepiece is a high grade 770 manual hand winding movement with 22 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case reads: ROLAND, Hamilton W.Co., Lancaster PA., 14K Gold, 76079. Hamilton is triple signed on this fine watch - seen on the dial, movement, and case.
