Circa 1951-1952.
Here is an exquisite solid gold piece from Hamilton called the "Scott" which seems to be the rarest of the three versions that share the same name. Constructed from a 14K solid natural gold case, this watch features a two-tone butler silver and white finish dial with 18K gold markers and squares. The 14K solid gold Scott model is distinguished by a faceted center embraced by steep lugs which on this particular watch look stunningly sharp with only light scratches seen when magnified. The watch measures approximately 23mm wide (excluding the crown) x 40mm from lug end to lug end. This wristwatch sets and winds smoothly and is powered by a Medallion series grade 982 manual hand winding movement with 19 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case reads: SCOTT, Hamilton W. Co., Lancaster PA., 14K Gold, S769827, S&W
