A fine example of Hamilton's early strap watches for men is this stunning 0-size Cushion trench watch in a 14K white gold-filled hunter's case showcasing a porcelain dial and sturdy spring bar lugs as opposed to the "wire lugs" found in most early cushion 0 size trench watches. The porcelain dial looks beautiful with correct skeleton hands. The onion crown sets and winds smoothly on this wonderful 0-size masterpiece that measures approximately 32mm wide (excluding the crown) x 40mm from lug end to lug end. Powering this watch is an adjusted 0-size 983 manual hand winding movement with 17 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. This nickel movement features a bridge plate, reed regulator, ruby and sapphire jewels, Breguet hairspring, and adjustments to both temperature and isochronism. Serial on movement: 1256434. There are light scratches on the case and the inside back case is stamped B.W.C. Co. Monarch, 217043.
