Featured here is an exquisitely rare 14K green gold-filled Illinois Piccadilly wristwatch with a crisp sterling silver dial adorned with gold foiled numerals and dots with a unique sub-second chapter located at the 9:00 marker. The Illinois name is proudly branded on the dial, case, and movement of this Art-Deco influenced vintage timepiece that has been well preserved after so many years. With only light scratches on the case, this watch is powered by a size 6/0 grade 905 movement with 17 jewels that has been cleaned, oiled, and timed for 24 hours. Serial on movement: 5081311 dates this watch to circa 1928-1930. The Illinois Watch Company was purchased by Hamilton Watch Company in 1927, but continued to produce Illinois watches under Hamilton management until 1932. This wonderful watch sets and winds smoothly and has been fitted with brand new I.W. Suisse genuine lizard straps. The case measures approximately 34mm wide (excluding the crown) x 31mm from lug end to lug end. The inside snapback case reads: Model #164, Keystone Watch Case, J.Boss, 14K Goldfilled, 20963.
