Circa 1971-1973.
A timepiece not often seen on the market is this vintage asymmetric Hamilton Odyssee from the Fontainebleau series of Hamilton watches that were produced throughout the early to late 1970s. Featuring a stainless steel case and circular shaped bezel that is wider on the top than on the bottom, the dial consists of rectangular luminous markers that start out small on top and grow larger as they progress downwards uniting at the 6:00 date window. This watch sets and winds smoothly with the case measuring approximately 37.5mm all around. The outer back reads: Stainless Steel, Fontainebleau, Brevet No. 1580-67, 64061-3. Hamilton is quadruple signed on this watch as seen on the crown, dial, case, and movement. The inside back case reads: Hamilton Watch Co. Swiss. The bezel and case back both look great with only minor scratches sustained through the years. Only a simple 90 degree turn is sufficient to release the back case which will provide access to the un-adjusted Swiss Hamilton grade 694 automatic movement with 17 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. Fitted with a new acrylic crystal and new genuine lizard straps in brown, this beautiful wristwatch is ready to serve as your next timekeeper.
