Featured here is a vintage Hamilton M-Series wristwatch called the Hamilton M 79-4 in a 10K white rolled gold plated case and stainless steel back with Rhodium plated numerals and engraved markers. The watch sets and winds smoothly and comes with its original florentine textured bracelet that flows onto the lugs and the original faceted crystal as well. The M-series watches were a different line of watches produced by Hamilton in the early to mid 1960s where the model numbers were actually the retail price followed by the production number for the model of that price. In this case, the M 79-4 would have originally retailed at $79 and was the fourth model released at the $79 price point. Beneath the dial is a Swiss Hamilton caliber 686 manual hand wind movement with 17 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case is marked: Hamilton W. Co., Lancaster P.A., 10K RGP Bezel, Stainless Steel Back, R787825, Star W.C. Co., 921365. Case dimensions are approximately 27mm wide x 35mm in overall length. The Hamilton name is hallmarked on dial, crown, case, and movement.
