Circa 1957-1960.
In the late 1950s, Hamilton introduced a variety of "space age" watch designs that coincided with the United States' space program. These watches are known as "Asymmetric" and were designed by famed industrial designer Richard Arbib.  This particular timepiece is called the Hamilton Spectra in a 14K solid yellow gold case featuring 14K gold numerals and dots with fine black transfer on a white sterling silver dial. The 14K Biggs bezel and case back are in excellent condition with no gold wear through seen anywhere on the watch, even under a loupe. The signed Hamilton case back is in superb condition with no personal engravings. The gold still looks very thick and lustrous after all these years.  The dial has mild spotting but that just adds character to this timeless watch even to the discerning eye.  Powering the watch is a Hamilton 500 Electric adjusted movement that has a fresh new battery installed. The watch was bench timed for over 24 hours and kept accurate time. Last service date is unknown. The inside back case reads: Hamilton W. Co. Lancaster PA., 14K Gold, 64134.  Case measurements are approximately 35mm wide x 39mm from lug end to lug end.
