This vintage Hamilton electric watch is known as the Saturn, featuring a 10K yellow gold-filled case with its original sterling silver dial. The dial is adorned with yellow embossed Arabic numerals and markers set against a yellow rim. Launched in June 1960 as part of Hamilton’s growing Electric collection, the Saturn boasts a distinctively unconventional asymmetrical case design, similar in silhouette to the solid-gold Spectra model. The dial is accented with striking radiating hour-marker lines emanating from the 6 o'clock position, reminiscent of a cosmic sunburst or rocket trails. Production of the Saturn was limited, with only around 2,900 pieces made. The watch is powered by a Hamilton electric 505 movement, which has been newly fitted with a fresh battery and maintained accurate time over a 24 hour test period. The watch measures approximately 34mm x 38mm from lug to lug. Inside the case back, it reads: Hamilton W. Co, Lancaster PA., 10K Goldfilled, P238682, Star W.C. Co.
