Presented here is a vintage Hamilton Langley in a 14K solid yellow gold case released in 1929 of which only 1,800 pieces were made. Advertised as "a distinguished design for the man of today" as well as "a distinguished model for business or sports wear, this Langley features an applied gold numeral dial. The butler silver sterling silver dial features a black enamel minute track and sub-seconds chapter coupled with spear hands. The case looks sharp and is in excellent condition. This watch has a three piece case where the center section is connected via a hinge to the back case which then fastens into the bezel. The dial, case, and movement are all signed Hamilton. Powering this timepiece is a Hamilton grade 987-F manual hand wind movement with 17 jewels that has been serviced and kept excellent time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case reads: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster PA., 14K Solidarity, 14K .585/1000 FINE, 624293. The watch measures approx. 28mm in width (excluding the crown) x 38mm in overall length.
