Here is a rare vintage Hamilton Sherwood R in a 14K yellow gold case with angled lugs with inward curled ends featuring 14K solid gold markers and dots on a Benin teak wood dial. The Sherwood "wood dial" series was short lived due to lack of popularity at the time they were produced making them a very scarce commodity today. The Dauphine style hands are true to form and all applied gold indexes and the Hamilton name look crisp. Powering this watch is an adjusted high grade 770 manual hand wind movement with 22 jewels that has been serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case reads: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster PA., 14K Gold, V45088, D&A. This watch measures approximately 33mm wide (excluding the crown) x 38mm in overall length.
