The Illinois Beau Geste is a rare, highly collectible Art Deco wristwatch introduced by the Illinois Watch Company in the late 1920s to early 1930s. Produced during the company's "golden era," shortly after Hamilton Watch Company acquired Illinois in 1927, it is part of the famous Illinois "Beau" lineup, which also included the Beau Brummel, Beau Monde, Beau Royal, and Beau Royale. Offered here is a vintage Illinois Beau Monde watch in a 14K yellow gold-filled enamel engraved case featuring Arabic embossed numerals on a white dial. This Art-Deco inspired model measures at approximately 28mm wide x 36mm in overall length. Powering this watch is a 6/0 size grade 607 manual hand wind movement with 17 jewels that has been serviced and keeping excellent time over a 24 hour period.
