Here is a vintage Hamilton US Navy BuShips (Bureau of Ships) Canteen watch in a chromium plated case with a screw down cover over the crown. The black matte finish dial shows some age but has retained its character with large printed numbers done in white accompanied by luminous dots and skeleton hands. The outer back case reads: USN BUSHIP K-H-3 and the inside is marked: Hamilton, Keystone, Base Metal, 250126. Beneath the back case is a dust cover that protects the genuine Hamilton grade 987S manual hand winding movement with a sweeping seconds and hacking feature that functions perfectly. The movement has been recently serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The crystal is soldered with lead for a tight seal and has some light scratches but is original to the piece. This watch measures approximately 31mm wide x 39mm in overall length. There are areas on the case and crown cover where the base metal has flaked off as seen in the photos.
