Circa 1933-1934.
Here is a rare watch by Hamilton called the Livingstone of which only 685 were produced in natural yellow gold-filled. The Livingstone is part of the Hamilton Explorer Series which also included the Andrews, Byrd, Ericsson, and Wilkinson models. Featuring a refinished raised gold hour marker dial in a rectangular case with stepped sides, this precious timepiece measures approximately 23mm wide (excluding the crown) x 37mm from lug end to lug end. The watch sets and winds smoothly and runs strong thanks to a grade 401 manual hand movement with 19 jewels that has been serviced and kept great time over a 24 hour period. The watch is triple signed as seen on the dial, movement, and case. The inside back case reads: H, 12/0, Wadsworth, Quality 14 Karat Goldfilled, Pend't Pat'd 5-3-27, 0717984. Included is a new glass crystal and ostrich grain straps.
