Circa 1962.
Featured here is a Omega Constellation reference 167.005 (551 chronometer movement) automatic watch in a stainless steel case with dauphine style hands on a rhodium baguette marker convex dial.  The dial shows light spotting seen when magnified which is typical wear of vintage watches of this age.  The infamous Constellation observatory with 8 stars is seen on the outside of the screw back case.  Powering this watch is a genuine Omega calibre 551 automatic movement with 24 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. Every part of this watch is original. This includes the bracelet, hand set, crown, dial, crystal, caseback, and the rest of the watch. It consistently runs at +2 seconds per day and operates as it should, winding efficiently and having a power reserve of over 40 hours.  The case measures approximately 33mm wide (excluding the crown) x 42mm in overall length. The watch is quadruple labeled by Omega as seen on the dial, crown, case and movement.  The inside back case reads: Acier Inoxydable, Omega Watch Co., Fab. Suisse, Swiss Made, 167.005, SGR.
