Circa 1929-1932.
Featured here is a rare wristwatch from the Illinois Watch Company known as the "Jolly Roger" in a 14K white gold-filled case with a refinished exploding luminous numeral dial and freshly luminated skeleton hands. This is a beautiful art-deco inspired watch with very light scratches on the case. The exquisitely engraved bezel looks sharp with its tapered corners. This wristwatch measures approximately 32mm in width (excluding the crown) x 36mm from lug end to lug end. Tucked beneath the dial is a size 3/0 size model 4 grade 24 movement with 17 jewels that has been cleaned, oiled, and timed for 24 hours. The stem sets and winds smoothly and on the inside of the back case it reads: Model #176, 3/0, Keystone Watchcase, J.Boss, 14K goldfilled, 25829. This is a great piece of watchmaking history by the Illinois Watch Company that is a great addition to any vintage watch collection!
