Circa 1932-1934.
Here is a beautifully designed Hamilton wristwatch from the 1930's known as the Mount Vernon in a 14k yellow gold-filled case featuring a refinished enamel numeral dial with correct "spade" hands and a distinctive T-bar lug design requiring the band to be notched for fitment. This watch case was refurnished as the lugs were too thin and needed to be enlarged. The dial was professionally refinished to its original days of glory with its black enamel numerals and sub seconds track looking very sharp. This watch sets and winds smoothly and comes fitted with brand new expo-calf straps in brown. Beneath the dial is a grade 987-F manual hand winding movement with 17 jewels that has been cleaned and kept good time over a 24 hour period. The inside back case reads: Hamilton W.Co., Lancaster PA., 14K Goldfilled, 161468. This watch measures approximately 28mm wide (excluding the crown) x 41mm from lug end to lug end.
