Featured here is a vintage Glycine timepiece entombed in a 14K solid gold Benrus flip-top case. This unique watch is partitioned into three sections that are all hinged together. The bottom section holds the movement, the middle section holds the crystal, and the top section is the flip-top cover that protects the crystal. To activate the flip-top, simply depress the two side pins at the bottom of the case and the top flips open. To close, one has to manually fold the flip-top back down until a "click" is heard confirming that the latches are secure. Powering this watch is a Swiss made Doxa S.A. movement that has been cleaned, oiled, and timed for 24 hours. The watch sets and winds smoothly and includes brand new size 18 leather straps. The inside case reads: 14K, BENRUS WATCH CO., 2473. The top and sides of this interesting watch are engraved while the outer case back is free of any engraving. The dial has signs of wear and the bezel has some light scratches scattered throughout. This watch measures approx. 28mm in width (excluding crown) x 37mm from lug end to lug end.
